With a combined love for food, travel and the written word, a blog is born. I have a passion for food - the textures, the tastes, the smells, and most importantly of all: the memories that go along with sharing a great meal with friends. I am spending a year in Germany with the ultimate goal of traveling as much as possible, eating as much as I can, and documenting it all for you to enjoy. We'll call this research for my future food establishment...which means I can write off all the money I spend on food. Right?

Picture of the Week

I've decided to start a new segment for the blog! Every week I'll post a picture that is insightful, breathtaking, etc. to show you how beautiful the world is...and what you're missing out on if you don't travel. This weeks photo:


I took this picture two years ago when I was backpacking around Europe. My friend Ashley and I spent several days in Florence, Italy and the city has become one of my favorite places on earth. This is the sunset view of Florence from Piazzale Michelangelo. How could you not find this amazing?
